Full Spectrum of Christmas
All Saints has something for everyone this season starting on Saturday 19 Novemberat 9:30 am with their Annual Poinsettia Bazaar. There’s something for everyone! The ever popular balloon blast will be back, wonderful baked goods, Christmas décor and gifts for the hard to buy for from the “Attic Treasures” table, you can bid on gift baskets and certificates from local business at the Silent Auction there will be lots of bustle, noise and the first excitement of Christmas throughout the building.
Then – it’s time to take a breather, relax, and remind ourselves what we are celebrating. Our Quiet Day on Saturday 26 November from 9 am – 12 pm focuses on prayer as a life practice as we enter the season of Advent.
Our popular Taize services return too this year. Each Saturday during Advent – 3.10 and 17 December at 7:00 pm will be a time of quiet contemplation and music from Judy Henry on the Celtic harp.
There’s an Advent Teaching Series entitled “Who Is This Jesus?” is on Thursdays 1, 8 and 15 December. A simple supper is provided at 6:30 pm followed by Evensong and teaching at 7:00 pm with Archbishop Douglas Hambidge and The Venerable Elizabeth Northcott.
We welcome ROCA to Ladner once again for a “Ceremony of Carols” at 7 pm on Tuesday 6 December. Tickets are $15 each and are available from the All Saints office or Grapes 4 U.
There’s more to come! But that can wait. We wish to invite and welcome the wider community to all these events. Our church has been a hub of the district for 135 years now! Long may it continue!
