Marching on ...

This morning I am very glad to be a woman.   I am able to skip up the flower lined path to the Church door singing and tra-la-la-ing happily away and I only need to question my sanity a bit.  Somehow I can't see a man allowing himself to do that in the same carefree fashion.

Praise God - the rain DID finally cease.  "The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective" (James 5:16) so thank you to whichever righteous people were praying!

Saturday at 4 pm - bring a small friend to Messy Church.  We will have music with Lesley Sutherland, crafts, yummy dinner and lots of fun.  See you there, leave the mess with us.

After the 10 am Service this Sunday, 28 February we meet together for a light lunch and our Annual Vestry Meeting.  You really need to be here for that.  There are important decisions to make about the future of the building and our ability to meet the needs of our community.  Come and make your voice heard please.

On Tuesday 1 March the Men's Fellowship meet for dinner at 6 pm in the Parish Hall.  There is a sign-up sheet on the board.  All are welcome.

On Wednesday 2 March we have our Midweek Eucharist at 10 am followed by Bible Study led by Dudley Ritchie.

Also on Wednesday 2 March, Archbishop Douglas Hambidge will be our guide on a Lenten Journey Through the Gospel of Luke.  Join us for supper at 6:00 pm followed at 7 pm with teaching.

On Thursday 3 March at 9:15 am the Parish Health Care Team will be in and the Craft Group meet at 10:30 am.

Friday 4 March is the World Day of Prayer.  This year we are hosting the event - starting at 1:30 pm.  Dr Andrea Mann will be leading the afternoon.  Join us in the hall, bring a friend or two.  It's always enlightening.

Also, on Friday 4 March, Taize.  Be here for 7 pm.  It's the spiritual version of a deep tissue massage.  You almost float home afterwards!
