I hope you all enjoyed celebrating the birthday of the church.  I hear the cake went down very well.  I’m glad but I was hoping there might be a wee bit left in the fridge for me on Tuesday!  Alas, not so much as a solitary cherry …

As you know the grow $20 thing started again so we can all use our talents to increase the amount and then return it for Just Imagine at the end of June.  I don’t know what to do with mine … it’s hard to use my talents in that way, but if anyone wishes to pay me for being a bossy madam or being sarcastic, please let me know!

This week is Trinity Sunday - 22 May – services are at 8:30 am and 10 am.  I know Elizabeth loves preaching on the Trinity!

Monday 23 May is stat holiday in honour of my birthday, or Queen Victoria’s or someone equally important and imposing.

Tuesday 24 May at 6 pm we host our monthly Community Meal.  Come along and eat, make new friends, help if you wish.  This is a good opportunity to welcome people to our church family and tell them how great we are.

Wednesday 25 May we meet at 10 am for the Eucharist and Bible Study led by Dudley “font of knowledge” Ritchie.  We would love to see you there.

On Saturday 28 May at 4 pm our young families meet for Messy Church - fun, friends, food, frolicking, fabrications (I am referring to the crafts but I had to stick with the “f” theme).   The Reverend Laurel Dykstra from Salal and Cedar will be joining us so it will definitely be interesting.

I’m off next week so I can spend some time with my lovely mum.  If you have anything particularly difficult for the Administrator to do, I suggest you bring it in then.  We have managed to find someone who can fill my shoes!

See?  Business as usual ... you won't even notice I'm gone.
