Happy Canada Day
Well, it's summer and it's a long weekend so you're getting a muted update this week. Plus, the whole building REEKS of skunk so I'm trying to finish up and get out of here on time today. Skunk is an unholy smell and does not belong in a church. Or anywhere else. When I left here on Tuesday even my sunglasses smelt of skunk. How is that even possible?
So, Canada Day is today - the office is closed. (I'll be back on Tuesday when hopefully the smell will have cleared). I hope you have an opportunity to celebrate your wonderful country. (I'm still not a Canadian Citizen though I am in the midst of applying. Personally I think working in a skunk sprayed building, having a kid sent home from school because of a coyote in the playground and having a raccoon issue in my yard should qualify me for citizenship immediately. Although obviously I am prepared to eat donuts for breakfast if that would help my application).
This Sunday 3 July we have ONE service at 9:30 am. Do not miss. Bring a clothespin.
Wednesday 6 July Eucharist and Bible Study at 10 am will remain as usual.
Parish Health Care Team meets at 9:15 am on Thursday 7 July as does the Craft Group at 10:30 am.
On Friday 8 July 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm the Delta Community Music School is having their Jazz Festival here. Come and listen if that's your thing.
Happy Canada Day! Enjoy your weekend.
