The Week Ahead

Firstly, thank you to all who participated/talked about/worked at the Shredding Day.  It was a great success with around $1800 donated to Just Imagine...  Who would have thought cleaning out our filing cabinets could have raised so much!  One man's trash is indeed another man's treasure.

So far, this Sunday, no - he doesn't.

So far, this Sunday, no - he doesn't.

This week isn't too taxing.  We meet on Sunday 12 June at 8:30 am and 10:00 am for Worship.  There is no one signed to provide coffee yet - could you do it?  Expectations are not high!  But we all like to stay and chat after church don't we?  And friendship works best with sustenance don't you think?  If you have any ideas about how to make the coffee hour runbetter, please talk with Ellen Pearson.

On Tuesday, the Ladies Dinner Group will meet at 6:00 pm in the hall.  Sign up on the board and bring something delicious to share.  It's always a good time.

On Wednesday at 10:00 am the Midweek Eucharist and Bible Study will take place.  Join in and expand your worship, knowledge, circle of friends and waistline.  We'd love to see you.   Centering Prayer Group meets later in the day at 5:30 pm.

On Thursday the Parish Health Care Team will be here at 9:15 am or thereabouts.  If you've got prayer requests or need some support, contact them.  The Craft Group meet in the library at 10:30 am.

On Saturday at 4:30 pm we meet at the home of the Haywards for the All Saints Annual Barbecue - thank you for hosting Walt.  I need to reiterate that this is really an adults only affair.  Not because of salacious activity I hasten to add, but because it's not really a safe place for small people.

Salacious behavior - "Good Lord!  That chap isn't even wearing a hat!!!"

Right, I'm off to enjoy the bipolar weather.  I'm already bored of this hot, sunny stuff.  Roll on June 21 - then it's downhill towards fall and winter.  Yippee!
