Happy New Year to you all! We start this year on a high note with the kitchen being finished off as I write this. Doug is putting the finishing touches on the cupboards and the shelving, the dishwasher is working beautifully, the ramp is finished and the automatic door openers are in place .. we are indeed all shiny and new. It's a great time to welcome new and old friends to come in and take a look at what God has blessed us with. We have such a great facility - but it was always intended as ministry - it's time to invite people in and generate some more opportunities to support and provide for our community.
This Sunday we meet at 8:30 am for Quiet Communion and 10 am for the Family Eucharist.
The Ladies Dinner Group meets on Tuesday 9 January at 6 pm. Please sign up on the board in the foyer.
On Wednesday 10 January the OASIS Eucharist and Bible Study group meet at 10 am. Now is a good time to start attending - it's warm and dry and peaceful and the cookies and company are good.
That's it for the week but I would like to draw your attention to our Burns Night Celebration - it's on Friday 26 January at 6 pm. Tickets are $25 each and will be available this Sunday. There will be the dancers, a Piper, the addressing of the haggis and all the good stuff you would expect. It should be a great night and an excellent chance to wheel out the Scottish accent you think you can do and wear that kilt you can't bring yourself to get rid of but never actually wear.
Happy Friday y'all!
