A note from Liz Macdonald
We did it! Ride for Refuge was a success, due to the wonderful sponsorship support received from so many at All Saints. Thank you all for your support and encouragement for the most successful Ride yet with over 1000 riders in Richmond, on a perfect day for a workout !
PWRDF's overall goal of $25,000 was exceeded, so I know that our team leader, Peter Goodwin,
will be delighted with the effort of the Vancouver teams when the area's total is finally tallied.
Donations can be accepted till October 31.
It was fun to do, and successful because of YOU. Thank you, and consider joining me next year in the saddle !
With thanks, from Liz
A message from PWRDF:
You rode, sometimes in tandem. You stayed in place and pedaled through presentations, coffee breaks and lunches. You walked the neighbourhood of the Hilton Doubletree Airport Hotel in Toronto or the official Ride for Refuge route.
And in the process, you met – and exceeded – our goal of $25,000.
As of this morning, you – and your friends, family, colleagues, and whoever else you could convince to contribute – have raised $25,624, with money still coming in. That’s good enough for 14th place out of 193 charities across Canada who participated in the Ride.
Through your efforts, you will feed thousands of hungry people living with drought, famine and displacement., and provide the means for women in Guatemala to start their own businesses and build their dreams of a better life for themselves and their families.
You have brought to life our vision of a truly just, healthy and peaceful world, and we are beyond grateful.
Thanks for your participation – see you in 2019!!!
