Tomorrow (Saturday 1 December) the building will be full of people attending an anti-racism workshop so the hall will be out of bounds until 3 pm. At 4 pm it’s time for Messy Church - grab a small (probably sticky) friend and bring them along for crafts, music, stories and dinner. You can leave the mess with us!
This Sunday 2 December is the first Sunday of Advent and we will light the candle of hope during the service. How lovely to have such a thing - a candle of hope - I’m not going to be the one to blow it out though. Join us at 8:30 am for the spoken Eucharist or at 10 am for the more vocal Family Eucharist.
On Tuesday 4 December the gentlemen of the parish meet at 6 pm for dinner in the hall. There’s a sign up sheet on the welcome board in the church (you can only sign up for the dinner - I am unable to offer a sign up sheet for anyone wishing to become a gentleman).
On Wednesday 5 December at 10 am we have our OASIS Eucharist followed by a lively Bible study. At 5:30 pm the Centering Prayer group meets in the Narthex.
On Thursday 6 December we have the second in the series of teaching sessions - “God’s People on the Move” with Archbishop Douglas Hambidge. Come at 6 pm for dinner and stay for Evensong at 7 pm.
Have a wonderful weekend - I hope you all have your advent calendars ready - no one should ‘grow out’ of those!
