The Week Ahead

Friday - yay - and even better than that IT’S NOT RAINING!! On a dry day I always feel like I’m tiptoeing past a sleeping baby - it’s a beautiful thing but I’m not going to appreciate it too loudly for fear of breaking the spell.

Bring your own clothes peg if you come in on Monday.

Bring your own clothes peg if you come in on Monday.

I’ve got a couple of warnings for you for next week. First - on Monday the kitchen is out of bounds while the dishwasher is fixed and another nasty job is taking care of. I’m told said nasty job may smell a bit so steer clear would be my advice.

The other day you may want to avoid the building is Friday 25th January. The Delta Youth Theatre kids will be using the entire building on that day as they prepare for their production of Mary Poppins. If you don’t want to get sucked it to singing songs about ‘a spoonful of sugar’ and being ‘positively perfect’. These productions are absolutely amazing BUT seeing the preparation does spoil the magic somewhat. It’s like knowing exactly what goes into a sausage, it’s just not quite so enjoyable when you’re fully aware of the process!

This Sunday we meet at 8:30 am and 10 am to celebrate the Eucharist together. Following the 10 am service there will be a meeting of the Bazaar committee in the library. Please join them if you wish. They would love to see you.

On Tuesday 22 January at 6:00 pm we have our monthly Community Meal. We hope you can join us.

On Wednesday 23 January we meet for the Eucharist at 10 am followed by the OASIS Group Bible Study. Centering Prayer is at 5:30 pm.

On Saturday 26 January at 4 pm we come together for Messy Church. Join us for crafts, music, dinner and songs as well as a very casual communion and bring a small friend along.

Plastic rain hat

Plastic rain hat

I wish you all a very happy weekend. I myself will be standing on a muddy soccer field and if it’s not raining I will eat my plastic rain hat. Sigh. Roll on spring!
