Thanks to all who came out and lent a hand to spruce up the building last weekend. It’s a huge improvement. I couldn’t specifically tell you what has been done but I CAN tell you everything looks brighter, tidier and altogether more welcoming. As I sit here today I can here Carolyn Dodds bumping around as she flings things from the big storage closet in the hallway, it’s reminiscent of a toddler when they discover they can open the cupboard door in the kitchen and proceed to noisily help you clean out the saucepans and lids. I don’t know about you but I always discover long forgotten things when I’m doing that. It’s like a very dull treasure hunt. Other notable headlines from the week include “the furnace room is clean and tidy” (insert gasp here) and “oh THERE’s that key we’ve been hunting for”. It’s been a productive week.
Join us on Sunday at 8:30 am or 10 am for the Eucharist and then please take the opportunity to swan about looking at how clean everything is.
On Tuesday 12 February our Ladies Dinner Group meets at 6 pm sign up on the board outside the hall.
On Wednesday at 10 am the Eucharist and Bible Study group meets. Please note the Centering Prayer group will NOT meet this week but will be back on 20 February (next week).
On Thursday morning the Craft Ladies meet to stitch and .. chat from about 10:30 am until 2 pm.
Don’t forget the Budget Meeting on Sunday 17 February, after the 10 am Service, we will be taking an in depth look at our budget for 2019. If you have questions about anything financial, this would be the time to raise it! The Budget for 2019 will be presented for approval at the Annual Vestry Meeting on Sunday 24 February - please plan to be there. Your voice needs to be heard.
