The Week Ahead
It’s been another busy week with Seedy Saturday, a pancake feast on Tuesday, Ash Wednesday services and tomorrow the Delta Youth Theatre will be spending the day here rehearsing for their production of Mary Poppins. If part of our mission is to be an active part of the community, supportive of all ages and stages of life in the parish, I think we are succeeding!
This Sunday is the first Sunday in Lent. I hope nobody specifically chose “all things of Irish descent” as something to refrain from during lent because it’s our St Patrick’s Day dinner on Friday 15 March at 6 pm. There’s only a couple of tickets left! I’ve seen the menu, heard the sing-a-long songs and I know who bought tickets so I KNOW it’s going to be a fun night for everyone.
Otherwise, on Sunday we have our usual Services at 8:30 am and 10 am.
On Tuesday 12 March the Ladies Dinner Group meets in the parish hall at 6 pm. A sign up sheet is on the board. And how wonderful - it will still be light at 6 pm. At last! This feels like the longest winter EVER.
On Wednesday 13 March we meet at 10 am for the Eucharist followed by coffee time and Bible Study. This week they are taking a deeper look at Luke 13:31-35.
On Thursday 14 March the Crafty Ladies will be making gorgeous things in the hall from about 10:30 am while the set up for the St Patrick’s Day dinner gets started.
Have a wonderful weekend y’all and don’t forget to turn your clocks forward - although if you do get to Church an hour early, you can be assured of good parking!
