All Saints Summer Update

Well, here we are - summer is definitely here now. And tomorrow is the All Saints Barbecue! I hope you all looking forward to spending some time together. There should be lots of good food and some great company. All the best people will be there! We will meet here at the church at 6 pm - bring your appetite and your sharpest set of teeth!

On Sunday 24 July we meet to celebrate the Eucharist at 9.30 am. Robin will be back from his vacation and will lead us in worship.

In other news - the community meal went very well this month. A delicious pasta dinner was served along with pie and/or ice cream for dessert. Thank you to all the volunteers - especially Liz and Gill who did such a great job in cooking, serving and cleaning up. I say that like there’s only three things to be done but it’s not like that at all! First there’s the planning, the distribution of posters, advertising on-line, buying the food, setting up the tables, laying the tables, prepping and serving the food and one or two people melting in the heat while running the dishwasher. The tablecloths are taken home and washed, kitchen cleaned, garbage disposed of and then, finally, everyone staggers home and sits down in damp exhaustion. All in all It’s a huge job and takes many, many volunteers. If you can spare some time once a month we would love to hear from you.
