Friday Update
It’s Friday again already so here are some things YOU need to know.
Tomorrow at 11 am we welcome the family and friends of Monique Begg.
The Begg family were very involved in All Saints before they moved away. In fact their name appears on our stained glass windows. You are welcome to attend if you wish. There will be refreshments after the service too.
Please don’t forget - this Sunday, after the service, we will be meeting to talk about our finances. Just like everyone else, we are experiencing “a fiscal challenge” right now. So much has changed over the past two years, including our income and our expenses. However we have been blessed with a bequest of $60 000 from Lesley Kulhanian. The meeting on Sunday will be to address our current financial position and to discuss how best we can use Lesley’s gift. Lesley left this money to the church, and guess what - YOU are the Church. I hope you can be there if at all possible.
Next Sunday 21st August, again following the service, there will be a meeting for anyone interested in the Parish Health Team and/or pastoral care. There’s no pressure to commit to anything - but if you are at all interested in that kind of ministry, please plan on being there.
The Refugee Action Group of Delta (RAGD) along with Benediction Lutheran Church in Tsawwassen is asking the community for support to sponsor a Syrian refugee family. A mother, father and three young children living in Jordan are in need of a safe and secure future with some family who arrived in 2016 (with the support of Ladner United Church). Further information please email delta.refugee.action.group@gmail.com OR you can make a donation via CharitableImpact.com. Cheques can be mailed directly to
Benediction Lutheran Church Refugee Fund,

Please note “refugee fund” on the memo line.
Coming up in September we are planning a Back to Church Sunday service. We hope everyone will invite a friend to come with them for that service. We’ll have a few nice little extra surprises at coffee time too. Who would you invite to come to church with you? Some things are just better with a friend aren’t they?
