The Week Ahead at All Saints

He’s otterly delighted with the wet weather

Ssssshhhhhh… can you hear that? It’s the sound of rain!!! I can hardly believe I’m saying this (it’s actually number 3 on my “Things I Will Never Say” list) but I’m so, so happy it’s raining. The sound, the smell, the appropriateness for late October! It’s wonderful. I hope you’re enjoying it as much as I am.

Today Delta Youth Theatre are having rehearsals in the building. They are loud and raucous and just adorably full of joy and excitement. It’s infectious too and I actually feel like I could manage the rest of the afternoon without a headache pill. Seriously though - it’s great to have the place so well used by local kids. They’re all so polite and respectful. I have great hopes for their generation.

On Sunday 23 October we meet at 8.30 am and 10 am for worship (and thank God for the rain.)

Don’t forget the Bazaar is coming up FAST - Sunday is a good time to bring bottles for our bottle draw and small gifts for Santa’s sack. Thank you for your help.

On Tuesday 25 October at 1 pm we come together to celebrate the life of Don Scherer. The family invite you to attend the reception following the service.

On Tuesday 25 October at 6 pm we host our monthly Community Meal. This month we share a delicious ham dinner. Thank you so much to everyone who is helping cook, prepare, serve and clean up after the meal. You are deeply appreciated! Please come along if you can and tell your friends too.

On Wednesday 26 October at 10 am we celebrate the Eucharist. Then the fabulous Dudley leads our Bible Study. Always a good time.

On Saturday 29 October at 4 pm we have Messy Church and Blaze complete with dinner and a mini concert from our Children’s Choir. Sounds good doesn’t it?

Who knew an owl could look so … melty

Right, it’s time I went home and took an Ibuprofen. Enjoy the weekend and enjoy the dramatic change in the weather. All our animal friends seem pretty pleased with it. Especially this owl.
