Priest-in-Charge - The Reverend Sharon Salomons

All saints is very pleased to welcome the Reverend Sharon Salomons as our temporary Priest in Charge who began her ministry with us on February 1st 2023.  At our Parish Council meeting on Thursday, Sharon outlined her role and the way in which she could support and guide the parish until a permanent Rector’s appointment is made. As well as other duties outside the parish, she will be available for Sunday and Wednesday services, parish meetings and other events when her schedule allows, or by arrangement.

Sharon is familiar with both Ladner and All Saints, having here as a teenager, and also assisting the Reverend Carla McGhie as a student intern for some months during her Divinity studies at VST.

The Wardens have also met with Bishop John on two occasions and discussed the process of appointing a full-time Rector for All Saints.  After these meetings, both Bishop John and the Wardens have agreed that a Direct appointment would be preferable.  The Search committee ( Wardens and Synod Delegate) will be revising the Parish Profile in the coming weeks and we hope to be able to interview candidates suggested by the Bishop as soon as possible.

Meanwhile we invite you to come and meet Sharon and to attend both the budget and Vestry meetings ( Sunday February 19th and 26th respectively) to enable you to ask questions and understand both the challenges and plans we will review as we move forward into a new phase of welcoming ministry.
